Friday 55

Shoe to Helen:
I’m brand new!
Barely out of my box
You have damaged me, modified me, customized me, humiliated me…
For what?
To keep that malformed foot of yours comfortable?
Helen to Shoe:
Now wait just a minute!
I’m seventy years old ~ I need to keep walking ~ whatever the cost!
Stuff it!

Good for you. As my son would say, I also suffer the "agony of da feet," so I totally relate! ;-)

The shoe family, Stiletto, Pointytoe, Platform etc deserve to be punished. Death by a thousand cuts is appropriate!
New, if you had my sewing machine, some zig-zags across those cuts would prevent them opening more than you want.
Question: When you are zig-zagging and go into reverse, is that Zag- zigging?

Better to modify that shoe and walk in it than to leave it in the box.

If the shoe fits, wear it.
If the shoe doesn't fit, make it wearable.
Can't be any simpler than that.
(For Bears, things have to be simple.)
